Our Vision

‘MOBC’s vision is to be a church where every member is learning about Christ, loving like Christ, living for Christ, leaning on Christ, and leading others to Christ’

We want MOBC to be a place where people are learning about Christ. We believe that it is possible to know God personally through faith in Jesus, and that the Holy Spirit speaks to us personally through the Bible.

We want MOBC to be a place where people are loving like Christ. We believe that the greatest fruit of the Holy Spirit is love and that, with the Spirit’s help we are to love God, love one another and love our neighbours.

We want MOBC to be a place where people are living for Christ. We believe that the proper response to God’s revelation of Himself in Jesus is a life offered to Him in adoration and service. We want to encourage Christian people to lead joyful, godly lives as they serve the Lord, His Church and the wider world.

We want MOBC to be a place where people are leaning on Christ. We believe that the Christian is free to approach God anytime and from any place about anything. The Lord Jesus encouraged all who follow Him to pray that the kingdom of God would come here on earth as it is in heaven and we are devoted to leaning on Him in prayer both individually and together.

We want MOBC to be a place where people are leading others to Christ. We believe that the Lord Jesus has sent us into the world to be His witnesses, to tell what He has done for us, and to proclaim the gospel. We believe that Christ is this world’s only hope and is to be made known to the ends of the earth. We want to encourage Christians to share their faith, confess Jesus as Lord, and invite those who are not yet Christian to repent of their sins and believe in Jesus.
