Youth
The transition from childhood to adulthood via adolescence can be a turbulent time for young people, their families and friends. At MOBC our youth program offers a safe place for high-schoolers to hang out, ask questions, express doubts, receive support and grow in the Christian faith. It’s also a lot of fun with regular bouts of craziness thrown in!
Below is a list of the current activities for youth at MOBC.
Ignite
Ignite, is our largest gathering of young people and meets on Friday nights during the school term from 7pm-9pm. This is a great place to catch up with friends, meet new people, and have fun while learning about Jesus.
Outings are a regular feature of Ignite with the most popular being to Laser Zone, the Aquatic Centre and Ice Skating.
A well-stocked canteen offers canned drinks, chips and lollies to those who need that extra little sugar fix!
To see what’s happening this term check out the program for Term 1 2013.
And you can connect with Ignite on facebook.
S.N.A.C.
S.N.A.C. stands for Sunday Night After Church and is where the youth hang out after the Sunday evening celebration. S.N.A.C. meets on Sunday nights, starting with church at 6pm and continuing afterwards until 9pm.
Regular events mean that the group never gets boring. Recently these have included, ChocFest13 (our third annual chocolate party) and a trip to the flicks!
S.N.A.C. is also on facebook, check out their page.
S.B.S.
S.B.S. is our Senior’s Bible Study and is for those in Years 9 to 12. The group meets on Friday afternoons from 5pm and runs into Ignite in the evening. $3 ensures a share of the nutritious pizza dinner that is on offer!
