Youth

The transition from childhood to adulthood via adolescence can be a turbulent time for young people, their families and friends. At MOBC our youth program offers a safe place for high-schoolers to hang out, ask questions, express doubts, receive support and grow in the Christian faith. It’s also a lot of fun with regular bouts of craziness thrown in!

Below is a list of the current activities for youth at MOBC.

Ignite

Ignite, is our largest gathering of young people and meets on Friday nights during the school term from 7pm-9pm. This is a great place to catch up with friends, meet new people, and have fun while learning about Jesus.

Outings are a regular feature of Ignite with the most popular being to Laser Zone, the Aquatic Centre and Putt Putt.

A well-stocked canteen offers canned drinks, chips and lollies to those who need that extra little sugar fix!

Blackout Skatepark

MOBC provides the Mortdale/Oatley area with its very own skatepark. Our skatepark consists of a full mini ramp, kicker boxers and rails. Blackout is for young people in Years 6 to 10. We meet from 7pm to 9pm on the first Friday of every month and also for a whole week during school holidays. All participants are required to fill out a waiver form with us, in the presence of a parent.

RM712

RM712 is for guys and girls who are keen to learn more from the Bible. The group meets on Sunday afternoons during term time and is open to anyone of high school age. Everyone gets together at 4pm, breaking at 5:30pm for supper before joining in the Sunday Evening Celebration.
